Labels:

Henry Ian Cusick, a well known actor on the TV series LOST is facing a lawsuit against him in which a young lady named Chelsea Stone accuses him of sexual harassment.

henry-ian-cusick

Chelsea stone, who worked at ABC since 1997, was suddenly fired after she had reported the sexual harassment incident with Henry Ian Cusick that occurred in October 2007. Stone says that Cusick grabbed her butt and breasts while making moaning sounds while she was working on the set of "Lost.". The lawsuit, filed in Los Angeles, also says Cusick "placed his face on top of [her] breasts, moving his face from side to side." Stone immediately reported the molestation to her supervisor and was fired around 12 days later in what she claims was a retaliation for reporting the incident.

The lawsuit also names ABC and Grass Skirt Productions as defendants. She is seeking unspecified damages.

There is no news as to how much money Chelsea Stone is looking to get, let’s hope that justice gets served.

Deeper on Henry Ian Cusick,

Henry Ian Cusick Chávez was born in Trujillo, Peru to a Peruvian mother and a Scottish father. After living in Trujillo for two years, his family moved to Spain, then Scotland and lived in Trinidad and Tobago for ten years. There he attended Presentation College. He moved back to Scotland at the age of fifteen. Cusick spent six months at the Royal Scottish Academy of Music and Drama in Glasgow and then joined the Citizens' Theatre. He also appeared in various productions for the Strathclyde Theatre Group in Glasgow. He is fluent in both English and Spanish, and was raised Roman Catholic.

Cusick began his career as a classical theatre actor. His first leading roles on stage included: Dorian Gray in The Picture of Dorian Gray with Rupert Everett, Hamlet in The Marovitz Hamlet with Helen Baxendale, and Horner in The Country Wife. His performances as Torquato Tasso in the Edinburgh International Festival production of Torquato Tasso, and Creon in the Citizens' Theatre production of Oedipus earned him a special commendation for the Ian Charleson Award 1995 for outstanding performance by a young actor in a classical theatre role.

Cusick then began taking television and film roles. After appearing in recurring roles in shows such as Casualty and The Book Group, he starred as Jesus Christ in the 2003 film The Visual Bible: The Gospel of John, a word-by-word re-telling of Saint John's Gospel. His largest role to date came in 2005 when he was cast as Desmond Hume in the ABC series Lost. Originally a recurring guest star in the second season(for which he received an Emmy nomination), Cusick became a member of the main cast from season three onwards.[4] Cusick won the role when, while staying at the home of his friend Brian Cox, he met Cox's next-door neighbor Carlton Cuse, the executive producer of Lost. Cusick believes: "a seed (was) planted, because they had been looking for either a Scottish or Irish character."

He also appeared as Theo Stoller in two episodes of season 5 of 24, the 2007 film Hitman, and stars in the direct-to-DVD film Dead Like Me: Life After Death, a continuation of the cult classic television show of the same name.

Cusick and wife Annie are parents to three sons, Elias, Lucas and Esau. The couple were married in a civil ceremony following fourteen years of cohabitation on July 15, 2006. They live in Oahu, Hawaii together.

Henry first appeared as a guest star in season 2 of LOST serial, became a main cast member from season 3 onwards. From his act, he nominated for Primetime Emmy Award for Outstanding Guest Actor - Drama Series.

Hotmail Went Down, Many Users affected

Labels:

This seemed odd but , its become apparent that the popular free email service Hotmail or aka Windows Live Hotmail went down a few hours ago and a significant large number of users were affected. Users received a shocking message “you don’t have an inbox yet”. As a result, users have been unable to access their Hotmail mail account for hours on end. The lack of customer service and support from Hotmail’s end proved to be a major issue. Take a look at the screenshot of the incident below…

We had a look at the , which is supposedly the official online support page for issues like these and found the following message:

Hotmail and Windows Live ID experienced a service disruption starting at 8:44 PM (PST), which ended at 10:15 PM (PST), and during this disruption you may have been told your inbox did not exist. This was incorrect messaging. Your inbox, contacts and Live ID are all intact. We’re all Hotmail customers, so we appreciate how frustrating this experience was. Thanks for your understanding. If you’re still getting errors, please close out all browsers and sign in again.

It was after midnight that the above official message was posted, therefore according to Microsoft the service disruption should have stopped over 2 hours ago. Is anyone still have errors or problems access their inbox? If so it may be worth a try doing what Microsoft has suggested above.

This “inbox inaccessible” error incident marks the second time within the space of just one month this year, in which two major free mail service providers have left many of its loyal users completely confused as to what they should do without their emails, contacts, calendars. What can anyone do to avoid being struck by another “email crisis” situation in the future?

Chelsea Win over Liverpool 3-1

Labels:

Chelsea have taken pole position to make the last four of the UEFA Champions League after claiming a 3-1 victory against Liverpool on Wednesday.

Liverpool enjoyed a dream start when star striker Fernando Torres gave the hosts the lead with just six minutes gone. But what began like a typical Anfield fairytale soon turned into a total nightmare when an unlikely brace from Branislav Ivanovic and a second-half Didier Drogba strike put the Reds' Rome hopes in dire straits. The one blip on the night for Guus Hiddink was a yellow card for captain John Terry, who will now miss the return leg next Tuesday.

Benitez barb
Benitez's pre-match barbs towards Manchester United manager Sir Alex Ferguson suggested the Spanish tactician was more concerned about the Premier League title race than success in Europe. But Anfield on a big European occasion stirs the soul like no other venue and, with Liverpool seeking revenge for last season's semi-final exit against Chelsea, it was no surprise to see Benitez's side make a ferocious start.
From Liverpool's first attack, Ivanovic almost deflected Dirk Kuyt's powerful strike into his own goal.
If that was a fortunate escape for Chelsea, they had no such luck in the sixth minute as Liverpool sliced through their defence in clinical fashion.

Kuyt's back-heel picked out Alvaro Arbeloa on the right and his cross caught the Blues flat-footed. Torres took full advantage to steer a perfectly placed shot past Petr Cech. Anfield went wild but, with the celebrations still in full swing, Drogba had a golden opportunity to silence the Kop. Fabio Aurelio's error allowed Salomon Kalou to pick out Drogba, but with just Jose Reina to beat his shot was too close to the Liverpool keeper.

These English powerhouses were meeting for the fifth successive season in Europe and, while previous ties have often been stifled by both sides' caution, this was an open encounter.
Torres was terrifying the visitors' defence with his pace and movement. He pulled clear of Frank Lampard before curling a long-range strike just over. Drogba's first miss had been bad enough but the Ivory Coast star was guilty of an even worse effort in the 30th minute. When Michael Ballack whipped in a low cross, Drogba had Reina's goal at his mercy, yet he lashed over from no more than 10 yards.

Equaliser
After such a frenetic opening, Liverpool were beginning to falter and Chelsea, sensing blood, equalised in the 39th minute when Ivanovic met Florent Malouda's corner with an emphatic header that flashed past Reina. Drogba threatened again when he overpowered Martin Skrtel to reach Lampard's pass and slid his shot past Reina, only for Jamie Carragher to make a superb goal-line clearance.
Then Terry, one booking away from a suspension, rashly challenged Reina for a ball the keeper was clearly going to win. Both players fell to the turf but when Terry got up Danish referee Claus Bo Larsen was waiting with a booking that rules him out of the return leg.

Just as the momentum appeared to have swung in Liverpool's favour, Chelsea took the lead in the 62nd minute from another set-piece. When Lampard curled over a corner, Liverpool, marking zonally rather than man-to-man, allowed Ivanovic a clear run at the ball. Once again he made them pay with a bullet header past Reina. Liverpool were shell-shocked and there was worse to come. Five minutes later Ballack played in Malouda, whose low cross was turned in by Drogba from close-range.

Barca beat Muenchen 4-0

The blockbuster showdown between the Champions League’s two highest scoring sides saw just one team turn up on the pitch as Barcelona utterly dominated their goal-happy German counterparts and gave them a true masterclass in attacking football.

Bayern Munich may have smashed a dozen goals past Sporting CP in total in the previous round but they found themselves four down inside the first 45 minutes against a ruthless Blaugrana side. And one man in particular, Lionel Messi, stole the show, scoring twice, setting up one and creating another.

First Half

Barcelona, as expected, took the game to their visitors right from the start and they needed just five minutes to carve the Bayern defence apart.

Dani Alves galloped upfield down the right and squared the ball to Xavi, who sprayed the ball forward on the edge of the box to Thierry Henry and the Frenchman comfortably rounded Hans-Jorg Butt but his tame sidefoot shot from a tight angle was cleared off the line by Martin Demichelis.

But on eight minutes, the hosts went ahead. Again from another free flowing move, Henry played in Iniesta, who teed up Eto’o but the Cameroonian rolled the ball to an unmarkedLionel Messi on the left channel and the in-form Argentine took one touch to guide the ball into the box and clinically swept it past Butt with his left foot.

Even before the Bavarians could regroup and catch their breath, Barca doubled their advantage four minutes later. And Messi returned the favour with an assist in an identical move to their first chance, except it was Eto’o who got to the end of the Argentine’s gorgeous through ball and the striker coolly nutmegged the on-rushing goalkeeper.

The Camp Nou went berserk again on 17 minutes, but it wasn’t for a goal. Messi effortlessly shimmied past Christian Lell inside the box but he appeared to have been tripped by the left-back, but referee Howard Webb whipped the yellow card out for ‘El Mesias’ instead for simulation.

Pep Guardiola went ballistic on the touchline and he was promptly banished from the dugout to the stands. And moments later, Bayern had their first real look-in at goal after 20 minutes when Franck Ribery floated in a free kick from the left and Victor Valdes came out to punch nervously, but his defenders were there to clear the threat.

Right to the other end, Henry was released clean through on goal by Iniesta but the Frenchman just dragged his shot wide off-balance and ended up colliding studs with Butt. The game went into a lull after that as the German giants started to ease their way into the contest and Barca were limited to long range attempts.

But completely against the run of play, the Catalan behemoths went three up in the 37th minute. It was simpler move this time as Henry darted past Massimo Oddo on the left before squaring it to Messi and ‘Little Lionel’, surrounded by three, beat Butt to the ball at the near post to stab it home for his eighth goal of the competition.

Straight from the restart, Die Roten produced their first shot on target when Bastian Schweinsteiger thumped in a fierce drive inside the area on the left channel but Valdes dived low to his right to make sure he wasn’t beaten at his near post.

Just as Bayern were starting to threaten, the Blaugrana made it 4-0 on 43 minutes. Messi played a one-two with Alves to open space for himself to cut into the middle but he was swamped by a crowd of Bayern defenders who bullied him off the ball, but it somehow squirmed to Henry and the ex-Arsenal forward coolly dispatched it past a static Butt.

Right on the stroke of half-time, Ribery had the best chance for the visitors when he was released through on goal but with only Valdes to beat, he pulled his shot wide across the goalmouth. But a minute into first-half injury time, Barca almost made it five when Alves drilled in a low cross but it bounced off Henry at the far post and dropped for an unaware Iniesta, who thumped in a hasty volley wide.

Second Half

Barcelona made no attempts to take their foot off the pedal. Although they were more subdued and patient in their attacks, they still managed to pin Bayern back for large periods.

The first real chance of the second period fell, predictably to Messi, who swivelled infield from the right and unleashed a low left-footed piledriver on the edge of the box only for Butt to slap it away. Eto’o then took a shot from distance just on the hour mark despite having acres of space to run at and he blazed his effort well over the bar.

Guardiola’s men did eventually start to gradually downshift their gears to conserve energy as the clock ticked down, but more worryingly for Jurgen Klinsmann, his troops failed to look any more dangerous.

They did create one opening, though, on 70 minutes when Ze Roberto was put through on goal by Ribery but as he pulled the trigger from six yards out, Carles Puyol lunged forward with a superb last-ditch tackle to block the shot.

That sprung Barca to life and they swiftly went into assault mode again. Iniesta glided down the left flank before scooping the ball over the Bayern backline for Eto’o but it was just a touch too heavy. Moments later, Iniesta waltz into the box and jinked in between two defenders but his dipping shot aiming for the top left corner just shaved the crossbar.

Messi almost nabbed his hat-trick a minute into injury time when Iniesta jogged past a throng of defenders to the byline before clipping a cross to the middle for the Argentine, but his half-hearted shot was blocked by his own team-mate, Seydou Keita. That, however, was barely enough to dishearten the jubilant Camp Nou.

The only blemish for the home side was defender Rafa Marquez’s yellow card in the final minutes as the booking will force him to sit out the return leg at the Allianz Arena next week. For the Bavarians, this is their heaviest defeat in the Champions League in their storied history.

(VERSE ONE)
Back by popular demand
Now pop a little zantack for andacity if you can
You're ready to tackle any task that is at hand
How does it feel, is it fantastic, is it grand?
Well look at all the massive masses in the stands
Shady man… no don’t massacre the fans
Damn, I think Kim Kardashians a man
She stumped just cause he asked to put his hands
On her massive glutious maximus again
Squeeze it, then Squish it, then pass it to her friend

Yes he can, can, don’t ask me this again
He does not mean to lesbian offend
But Lindsay please come back to seeing men
Samantha’s a 2, Youre practically a 10
I know you want me girl,
In fact I see it when I come in girl

(CHORUS)
When you walk through the door
It was clear to me (clear to me)
You’re the one they adore, who they came to see (who they came to see)

The 44th Academy of Country Music Awards Result

Labels:

UNDERWOOD_GETTY_500

The 44th Academy of Country Music Awards swung political, personal, playful and patriotic on Sunday and ultimately opted for popular in bestowing its top honor on "American Idol" winner Carrie Underwood, naming her entertainer of the year over veteran male performers George Strait, Kenny Chesney and Keith Urban.
"I've had a lot of good moments in the past four years," the Oklahoma-born Underwood said at the climax of the three-hour event at the MGM Grand Arena, "but this one takes the cake."
The award was determined for the second year by popular vote during the show at CBS.com instead of being determined as it had been in past years by the performer who sold the most concert tickets during the previous 12 months, which would have given a fifth title to Chesney.

But the ACM, in striving to boost ratings and make the event more interactive for fans, opened the voting for entertainer and new artist to the public. That helped TV-friendly faces such as Underwood and former "Dancing With the Stars"-turned-country singer Julianne Hough, who took home the new artist trophy.
It was a big night as well for Internet-savvy teen phenom Taylor Swift, who sold more albums in 2008 than any other artist in any genre, passing 5 million. Her overwhelming success contributed to her sophomore album, "Fearless," which has topped 3 million since its release in November, being named album of the year.

The giddy singer and songwriter from Pennsylvania clapped her hands over her mouth and danced in her signature cowgirl boots upon learning she'd been chosen by the academy's 4,000 voting members over Strait, Underwood, duo Montgomery Gentry and newcomer Jamey Johnson.

Outside the arena just after the show ended, 11-year-old Josei Molasky beamed a broad smile at her role model's win. Molasky not only patterned her gold lamé dress and cowgirl boots after Swift's look, she said she's been learning to play Swift's hit "Our Song" and starting to write songs of her own.
It's exactly the kind of fan motivation Nashville is looking for these days as it wrestles with declining music sales like every other corner of the music business. But the problem is trickier in country music because fans are much less likely to get music over the Internet, according to a recent market survey conducted at the behest of the annual Country Radio Seminar that took place in March.

That's given the country music capital something of a quandary over how to continue serving a CD-buying fan base at a time when the rest of the music business is moving away from the format in favor of digital music distribution.

The CBS telecast also looked to give more fans such as Molasky to latch on to with a performance by Miley Cyrus, timed to plug the new "Hannah Montana" movie, even though the daughter of country singer and actor Billy Ray Cyrus wasn't nominated for any awards.

Tough economic times coupled with strong sentiment over the war in Iraq figured into two of the night's most powerful musical performances. John Rich, half of the duo Big & Rich, sang a solo version of his new single "Shuttin' Detroit Down" that elicited cheers several times from the 11,000 fans in the MGM Grand Arena as he railed against federal bailouts to troubled corporations while family farms continue to fail by the thousands.

U.S. troops got a salute from Trace Adkins as he was joined by the West Point Glee Club with a new song recognizing what soldiers have sacrificed from the Civil War through the ongoing fighting in Afghanistan. The ACM announced that proceeds from the downloadable version of the performance will go to Wounded Warrior, a Florida-based organization the helps injured troops once they return home.
Jamey Johnson's "In Color," an homage to those who weathered the Depression, fought in World War II and sustained long-term marriages, was named song of the year. Johnson's album "That Lonesome Song," which has drawn comparisons to the work of Waylon Jennings and others of the '70s country Outlaw movement, had been chosen 2008's best by a poll of country music critics.

6.3 Richter Scale Earthquake Hit Italy

Labels:

italy-1 An earthquake measuring 6.3 on the Richter scale rocked central Italy on Monday, seriously damanging some houses and causing a few structures to collapse in a mountainous region east of Rome, officials said.

A number of people were reported to have been injured and others trapped under rubble in the area where the city of l'Aquila is situated, but officials had few details on the situation.

Today's earthquake in the Abruzzo region of Italy is likely to have been triggered by the north-south faultline that dissects the length of the country and trails the central and southern Apennines.

The fault is one of two criss-crossing the peninsula. The second, which runs from east to west across the centre of Italy, is typically associated with milder tremors.

Caught between two faultlines at the juncture of tectonic plate movements between Europe and Africa, Italy is prone to regular earthquakes.

However, it is unusual for the country to experience an eathquake as deadly as today's.

In 2002, a quake in the southern town of San Giuliano di Puglia killed more than 25 people – the highest number to die in an Italian earthquake in more than two decades. More than 40,000 people lost their homes.

In 1980, more than 2,700 people were killed and more than several thousand injured in a quake measuring at least 6.9 on the Richter scale.

The epicentre was at Eboli, about 80km (50 miles) south of Naples.

One of Italy's most deadly earthquakes struck a century ago in 1908, destroying the Sicilian town of Messina and, according to some estimates, killed as many as 100,000 people.

She has been battling cancer for three years and recently returned from Germany, where she had experimental stem-cell treatment. Sources told RadarOnline.com that she is critical but stable in a Los Angeles-area hospital. They also say she is unconscious and has been hospitalized for days.

Farrah, 62, was diagnosed with anal cancer in 2006 and later pronounced cancer free at a press conference. In the statement, titled "Positivity is a Necessity," Fawcett, 59, says: "Throughout the journey of my life, I have maintained a strong faith in the power of the human spirit to overcome adversity. I deeply believe in one's own positive will to overcome even the most daunting challenges.

"I am resolutely strong and I am determined to bite the bullet and fight the fight while going through the next six weeks of cutting-edge, state-of-the-art treatment. I should be able to return to my life as it was before at the end of my treatment.

"I am so grateful for the overwhelming outpouring of concern, love, prayers and compassion from all over the world. You are all a source of enduring strength."

Fawcett, who starred as Jill Munroe in the '70s hit Charlie's Angels, has served as a celebrity spokesperson for the American Cancer Society. Her older sister, Diane, died of lung cancer in 1998, and her former companion, Ryan O'Neal, successfully battled leukemia after being diagnosed with the disease in 2001.

She recently reunited with her Angels costars Kate Jackson and Jaclyn Smith for a tribute to the show's producer, the late Aaron Spelling, at the Aug. 27 Emmys.

While Farrah Fawcett is reportedly fighting for her life -- her 24-year-old son is now fighting two brand new drug charges.

Redmond O'Neal was arrested around 9:30 this morning (April 5) in Castaic, California -- and here's the rub, he was on jail grounds at the time of his arrest.

According to cops, Redmond had just dropped off two friends at a detention center to visit a jailed buddy, when an officer stopped his car to perform a routine security check in the jail parking lot.
Authorities say when the cop came over to the car, Redmond informed the officer that he was in possession of narcotics.

Redmond was immediately searched and then arrested for possession of a controlled substance and bringing narcotics into a secured jail facility. Redmond is still behind bars -- his bail has been set at $25k.
